ABOUT US

The Division "Psychoanalytic Psychology and Psychotherapy" is a separate division of the National Psychological Association of Ukraine, a valid member of the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA).

The mission of the division – to unite psychologists practicing and researching psychoanalysis and/or psychoanalytic psychotherapy institutionally and privately, to promote the practice and development of the method in Ukraine according to EFPA standards for the establishment of a Ukrainian psychoanalytic school.

 Goals: 

• maintaining an ethical standard for practice and conducting research in a psychoanalytic approach;

• education and information support regarding education and EFPA certification in the method of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy;

• monitoring the needs and wishes of psychoanalysts and psychoanalytic psychotherapists in Ukraine;

• representation of psychoanalysts and psychoanalytic psychotherapists in front of the presidium and executive bodies of the NPA, EFPA, and the public;

• support of the project activities of the members of the division related to psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, in particular scientific research and social;

• support of publishing initiatives of members of the division of professional psychoanalytic literature and methodical advisors;

• support for the beginning of the practice of psychologists certified in the psychoanalytic approach.
